Marc Damon is a Swedish DJ & producer based in California who bursted into the dance scene in 2006. With a passion for progressive basslines and colorful melodies he express himself through making tunes for Captured Music and Lyon Echo Records.
The collaboration with Mike Shiver on the beautiful "Water Ripples" in 2006 got massive global DJ support from top jocks like Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Solar Stone. In 2006 he had his UK debut in London at Club Compulsive which also was the international DJ debut. The Hurricane remix on Captured Music has been hammered by top jocks as Mike Shiver, Above & Beyond, Signum and Andy Moor. Next up is a remix called "I Believe" for the Los Angeles based record label Lyon-Echo. During the Winter Music Conference in Miami 2008 he played together with names like Elevation, Noel Sanger, Andy Moor, Gareth Emery and Mike Shiver.

Band Members: Marcus Almen is the name behind the guise Marc Damon. The name went from Diamond to Damon inspired by music from various shapes and sizes.Marcus grew up in Ljungby in the southern parts of Sweden where his musical career started at a young age. Since colleague he left and been moving around the world for different jobs in the media business. After living in Denmark and then England for several years, he is now located in San Diego, California. This is the number one spot since California offers beautiful visuals, palm trees and beaches.
Influences: Depeche Mode's electronic and melodic sound made a huge impact on me during my time growing up, and they are still my heroes. They have a countless number of tracks I never will forget. The fact is my two older brothers was just as passionate by electronica during the 80's as I am today.
Sounds Like: I get inspired by tracks from Markus Schulz, Elevation, Leama & Moor, Aalto, Benya, Mark Otten, Hawk, David West, Funabashi, Gabriel & Dresden, Joni Ljungqvist, Marcus SchÃ¶ssow, Niklas Harding, James Holden, Cats & Sieja, Jonas Steur, Trentemoller, Shiloh and more.The truth is I can enjoy listening to all kinds of music since I always mentally break down the different parts of every song I listen to, and if you are an musician too you know exactly what I mean!
