The final of 2006 was marked by the born of BETTERSHELL in the garages of São João da Madeira, specifically in the 9 of November.
Pedro in the drums, IsaÃas in the voice and guitar and Nuno(Sid) in the bass, decided to begin a dream they once had. A strong union and a loyal friendship without prejudice between the three young guys made they ally their imagination, creativity and the influences of each other to start their own project, and working to find the harmony and perfection they all liked.
After several essays and themes made Bettershell felt that they needed something more to their music become more complete and that made them to search for a second guitar player and in 2007 was the turn of Licinio(Lee) to become part of this project.
Its important to refer the existence of a music past of the three former musicians of this band, they once and other projects were they had several gigs the more important in the 3 Fnac’s in Porto and the ECOSRCOCK 06 in S. João da Madeira.
In less than one year Betteshell whore 13 originals, in their lyrics they talk about their lives, their friends, family, love, earth and everything that happens in their lives. In July 2007 they started to give some gigs in some pubs in their home town and outskirts, some radio interviews, and closing the year the ECOSROCK 07 festival.
The year of 2008 started to being a year of glory to this project. ROCKTARACT 08 (garage bands music competition in Santa Maria da Feira) was maked by the presence of Bettershell on stage and by their music, and after some fases the jury of the competition gave to Bettershell the first prize at national level by this time in the city of Santo Tirso in other competition named ROCKTIRSO the jury gave other prize to this band.
The first prize in the ROCKTATACT 08 competition gave to Bettershell the opportunity to record their first EP that will include 4 original songs.
