KATY THOMAS Whilst modelling, Alt Tv and I discovered each other about a year ago. My role at Alt Tv expanded rapidly; letting me put some more clothes on and provide the Entertainment News, Weather and Surf reports on Alt Action News weeknights at 6 o'clock ish as well as previously hosting ALT TV's ‘Alterior Motive’. With a tendency to get bored easily, the best part of my job is meeting new and interesting people, from Swedish House Mafia to fashion designer Nom D* and even Jessica Drake (porn star) with some of my interviews turning up on tv overseas... I also contributed as a music/events reviewer for CLEO and Infusion Magazine as the Health&Beauty Editor for which I presented on the Infusion podcasts with DJ Karn Hall
GENERAL LEE Notorious Auckland DJ General Lee affectionately known as the 'Four Eyes of Funk' has numerous residencies round town and discovered a love of music at the tender age of 12. At 17 he ditched his date at his school ball to hang out with Sample Gee and hasn’t looked back since. Since then he has played alongside : Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Armand Van Helden, Basement Jaxx, Carl Cox, Sander Kleinenberg, , Judge Jules, and most recently : Bob Sinclar , TV Rock, Kaskade, Mylo , and Mr Tom Novy and Roger Sanchez. Listen to Georgefm 2-4 on Big Wednesdays (Katy makes a guest appearances at 3.30pm for the 'The Sauce' your hook up to musical entertainmemt news) and ZM late nights all weekend long for big anthems. HOW IT ALL BEGAN: Funnily enough; it wasn't exactly love at first sight with us. We used to have back to back shows on Fridays- me @ 9pm with 'Joi de Vivre' and Lee @ 10pm on "Beauty & the Beats". But I kept playing all the songs Lee liked before his show and I was nabbing the interviews he wanted but couldn't get cus he was always out DJing. I didn't have any intention of stopping (I was having too much fun! Come on!) so to ease the tension, I packed my bags and moved to Tuesday night to start all over again with 'Alterior Motive'. Lee made the first move on me (through a mutual acquaintance aka Kirby) and while I spurned his advance it was only minutes before I reconsidered his offer. One frantic phone call to my best friend later and before you could say "you should really check for on-coming traffic before pulling a U-turn" I had spun my car around to belt back up ALT headquarters (Verona) to make music love with my future partner.

As well as interviewing all the big names in Dance&Electronica they cover all the most important events on the social calendar; horse races, awards ceremonies, a letter openning you name it they're always there with bells on. Often you'll see General Lee mxing behind the decks while Katy takes the broadcast live-to-air.
