Our version of the unique German ale originating in the city of Köln (Cologne). This is a very pale brew made from five different malts and two hop varieties. A period of cold aging ensures a soft malty character. O.G. 1.044.SIR DULUTH OATMEAL STOUT:
Our version of the classic English-style Oatmeal Stout, using a variety of dark roasted malts, oatmeal, and our imported ale yeast. The result is a smooth almost-black beer, medium to full-bodied with chocolate and coffee overtones and a roasty flavor. O.G. 1.056.MESABI RED:
Our interpretation of the American red ale style. Unlike most other examples of the style, ours is a dark amber coming from the use of 6 different malts. A blend of 3 different hops from 4 additions gives our Mesabi Red a full hop character. At 6.5% ABV. O.G. 1.064.SEASONAL BEERS:SPLIT ROCK BOCK - Late Winter / Early Spring
This is a hearty, dark mahogany-colored beer, malty with chocolate overtones, brewed using 5 different malts. Lake Superior Split Rock Bock is the festival beer for the annual Fitger's Bock Fest held in March. Go get yourself "Poked" at the fest! O.G. 1.055.7 BRIDGES BROWN ALE - Spring
This beer is smooth and light in taste and light brown in color, a classic interpretaion of a british mild. O.G. 1.045.WINDWARD WHEAT - Early Summer
Released in June. A true German Hefe-weizen. A refreshing beer, 55% wheat malt, a blend of German hops and imported German ale yeast. Fruity banana overtones with a high efferveciance and cloudy in the traditional Hefe-weizen style. O.G. 1.054.St. LOUIS BAY IPA - Late Summer
True to style, this beer is chock full of hops (over 1 pound per barrel). Using a blend of English hops, this brew is dry hopped using East Kent Golding, our own English ale yeast and a hint of oak. St. Louis Bay IPA is a hop lovers delight. O.G. 1.058.OKTOBERFEST - Our first Oktoberfest held at the brewery was a resounding success! All german malt hops and authentic german oktoberfest yeast rounded out to a true german Marzen beer. It's as close to germany as you can get without going over the pond. O.G. 1.068Old MAND WINTER WARMER - Winter
This beer is brewed in late Spring and aged untill release. This beer is typically released in early November. A classic interpretaion of a barley wine that is still very acessable. O.G. 1.101!!!
