About Me

Raised in Toronto, Canada, Kelly Slattery’s first taste of performing came at an early age, a Christmas party inside the famed Royal York Hotel. Joining the children’s entertainer on stage, the spunky four-year old was instantly hooked on music. In 1998, her sister, Shannon, gifted Kelly her first guitar, changing the course of her life. Untrained as a musician, Kelly quickly learned the guitar through songwriting. “It was just the right time in my life. Everything came together and my feet finally hit the ground.”Within 9 months, Kelly found herself in the studio recording her first CD, What a Wonderful View. Thanks to hard work and a unique talent, she appeared on Canadian radio and American college stations with her first single, “ This Way of Hearts”. Noticing her undeniable talent and early success, Blockbuster Video chose Kelly’s album as their only unsigned artist to distribute nationally while FACES Cosmetics honored the new songwriter with her first endorsement. These inspiring accomplishments in addition to the placement of “Stuck With You” in the WB series Jack and Jill planted the idea of leaving Canada for the city of stars.
With the success of What a Wonderful View, Kelly Slattery made her second trip into the studio to produce That Line Between the Earth and Sky. The Spin Doctor’s Chris Barron offered his Grammy nominated vocals on two of the album’s 10 original tracks as well as an opening spot on Chris’s short Canadian tour. When her single, “Stuck with You”, placed on the American Psycho II soundtrack, Kelly decided to finally pack her suitcase for Hollywood. In Los Angeles, after singing the pre-game anthem for both the Los Angeles Kings and Clippers, Kelly has taken her talented voice on stage to such LA hotspots as the Whiskey a Go-Go, The Troubadour, Viper Room, Genghis Cohen, Rainbow Room, and The Joint.Currently, Kelly’s unique songwriting gift has her poised for worldwide success. She resides on Paramount’s shortlist of theme song composers while “Stuck with You” is now featured in the new John Corbett, Sean Astin, and Amy Smart film, Bigger Then the Sky. Kelly can also be seen as a Co-Star on the CBS program "Girlfriends" and can be heard on another Paramount program "The Game". Kelly and her talented new band are energized and working on her next CD which will debut “Desdemona”, a song co-written with Grammy and Oscar winning musician and FOX Executive, Robert Kraft.
