Lorrie Anne was born in Houston, Texas and raised outside of Atlanta, Georgia.
After High-School graduation she moved to Athens, Georgia to attend The University of Georgia where she believes her love and appreciation of music was taken to the next level. “Athens was the best thing that ever happened to me, a small town that embraces all types of music and cultures.†Athens is also where she met future co-writer/producer Owens-Hall and Tony B. After college graduation, Lorrie Anne moved to Atlanta and worked in Marketing. “I was happy but I wanted to write and sing country, pop and rock music. No one expected that from me." In August of 2006 Lorrie Anne decided to follow her dream and record her music. “I knew that if I didn’t at least try I would never know. I did not want to wake up one day saying ‘what if’â€. After relocating back to Athens and musically reconnecting with Owens-Hall together they wrote “I Drove a Cowboy Home†along with several other tracks. They also collaborated with Tony B, a close friend from college and talented songwriter out of Atlanta. Lorrie Anne is currently working on the remainder of her on her debut album. Her debut single “Your World†will be released May 20th 2008.In her live performances Lorrie Anne blends her style of acoustic and electric sounds with her powerful yet gentle voice and charismatic stage presence. She stands out as a unique performer that is not to be missed.With strong influences from Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, The Eagles, Tina Turner and George Strait you never know what to expect from her musically. "I love music, especially country music, but different genres have influenced me. Except for the people I love, I can't imagine living in a world where everything around me is the same all the time; my music will always be diverse and different."
