DIMENSION OF HARM BIO [by Albena Tsolova – Beta, Rhythm mag., XAOC mag.]In the very beginning of the “apocalyptic” year 2000 Vladislav – ex-guitar player of the disformed by that time Desolate - one of the most successful dark/black/death metal bands in Bulgaria, starts to develop his own view of a musical project, under the name of Dimension Of Harm. During the process of releasing the project’s first record he has on his side Danail -long time guitar player in Desolate and Deyan – the guitar guy f black metallers Demonism. Logically, the main goal of all these skilful musicians gathering in a new band is to create music that would differ from the style they use to perform with their former groups. The path they choose to follow - atmospheric/melancholic/dark metal, captured the attention of Vasil who already got experience as drummer of Distorted Reality and On Wings. He gladly joins the band where he is free to produce his avant-garde, crazy “jazzy” drumming parts. But the line-up is yet incomplete for what was in the mind of Vladislav - the founder and main composer in DOH – to play music with “intrusive” keyboards parts. The hunting is over as soon as Lidya appears on his sigh and soon after becomes the possessor of the black ‘n’ white keys. Later on, to draw a more atmospheric picture, the artist V adds one more suitable element. This is the fifth element Svetlana (a.k.a. Samantha) with whose angelic female voice V is sharing his hoarse spells in the vocal space. By that time, the talented blondie is already known in the Bulgarian underground scene from her work with the Doom metal dreamers In Somnus. In 2001-? Dimension Of Harm are ready to conquer demo studio M&D. The result is self-titled musical document consisting of 4 compositions. Next year 2002 brings line-up changes. Danail is already out of the game and the bass is dropped to the strong hands of Metodi. He comes in the band along with his own experience and view on music. The guitar is set alone as Deyan deserts the band at that time. In consequence of some musicians leaving and others joining, the music style of the formation is changing. But no one in the team is afraid to face the changes as changes and experiments is what the band was always open to. 2006. The decision of Lidya to focus on her personal duties leaves DOH without a keyboard player. But shortly after Alexander who gladly passes by DOH from time to time, going out of his permanent music home – a band called Fanagoria, where he is also taking care of the keys. All these 4 years, during which the frontman guy Vlado beside observing around for the right people and working on his musical ideas – sometimes on his own, sometimes on rehearsals with the band, are with extreme importance for the future of what has started as a project. The fact that he was involved with some other bands during all this time did not put DOH in the shadow that much so to be forgotten by the crowd. DOH are seen participating on numerous concerts and festivals. Well, numerous but not too much to become tiresome. As by today, after a short absence from the scene, the audience is already aware of the power of DOH and is able to foretaste the upcoming surprises and not necessarily loud, but surely intriguing comeback of the galactic dreamers.Profile Edited by MPS MySpace Editor 2.0
