MEPHIZTOPHEL was formed times before Black Metal turned into a common trend. They began their rehearsals back on September 1993 under the unholy law of Dashnarar (guitars/ vocals) and Vintrax (Drummer).
Two years later on October 1995 was recorded the first demo
"Perrigilium Veneris de Priapobaco Sabassio", which 3 tracks were extracted for the next demo 1996
"The War has Started" distributed around the world.
Musically their songs can best describe as Furious Unholy Black Metal, lyrically they deal with many topics, from the dark bizarre, the cult of death, the hidden side of reality and beyond, occult prophesies, satanic rites, wars, and personal experiencies...
On April 1999 was recorded the last rehearsal before Dashnarar's death, then Vintrax is forced to stop with the band temporally, four years later Vintrax decide to get the frontman position on guitars and vociferations and on 2003
MEPHIZTOPHEL reborn with a new line-up: Vintrax (Guitars/Vocals) and Eregon (Drummer) on Feb. 2004 was recorded 3rd demo
"Satan Proclaim his Throne" in a limited edition of 160 copies.
On March 2005 is reedited the demo 1995 on split
CD with a local band, and during spring 2006 was recorded six new songs for their upcoming debut album
“For me your Blood for Satan your soul†...... Musically into the traditional evil Black Metal style.The new line-up is : Vintrax ( vox & guitars ) & Holocausto ( Drums ) 2008 ....
