The Ark is an alternative/rock band from the Gold Coast, Australia . Formerly known as Maximum Impact, this ubiquitous live act have been on the east coast alternative rock scene for a number of years. With their strong honest lyrics, towering melodies and bizarre yet exciting hooks, they are a powerful rock outfit already making a big mark on the Gold Coast music scene.
The four boys, Alistair, Callum, Nahshon and Dan Formed midway through 2005 and have never looked back, experimenting with different styles of music, to create something powerful of their own. Early in 2007 Ashley was adopted into The Ark. Ash bring a fresh new sound, with the ability to learn and compose some incredible music.
Their music has a positive message, always speaking of hope and purpose, lyrics and music which are crafted straight from the heart.
They’ve been writing and working on new songs over 2007, leading up to what will be there their first recording in 2008…EXCITING!!!
