Flat Creek Paranormal Society

Spirit Seekers

About Me

The Flat Creek Paranormal Society of Western Kentucky began in August 2006 when some of its founding members found an obvious EVP while investigating the front yard of an older home. Most of those present that night did not previously take such things seriously, but when an unknown & unaccounted for voice appears out of nowhere, it changes your prospective a little bit.
Since that time, we have continued with occasional investigations and are looking forward to many more.
This is very near the site of our first EVP; notice the possible orb in the top left (but since the picture was taken outdoors, it's very hard to rule out dirt or dust particles in the air).
Here is another possible orb at a site where we've gotten several interesting EMF spikes and EVPs, but, again, dirt and dust cannot be ruled out.
Our methods are simple. In the tradition of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), which inspired most of us, we rely heavily on scientific evidence rather than just "feelings," and if we are not sure of a piece of evidence, we tend to toss it aside rather than use it as proof of the supernatural. Also, we do not involve ourselves in any practice that supposedly summons spirits, such as Ouija boards or seances.
So, in short, we enjoy researching and seeking out the unexplained but in a responsible & more scientific manner. If you are in the western part of Kentucky, northwest & central portions of Tennessee, or Southern Indiana and would like someone to investigate a claim of the paranormal, contact us here on our page or by email at [email protected]. Thanks for visiting our site!

My Interests

Inspired by TV's Ghost Hunters on the SciFi Channel.

Our equipment:

Digital voice recorders (to find any possible EVPs).

EMF Meter

Digital cameras

Infrared Thermometer

Since we are a newer group, we are still looking into other devices to use in investigations. If you have any information on affordable thermal cameras or other helpful investigation gadgets, we would love to hear from you ([email protected]).

Our Investigators:

Phyllis, Amy, Sarah, Derek, Misty, Austin, Vickie, Emily, and Jeremy.

Guest Investigators:

Crystal, Amanda, and Colby.

Here's Derek during our first investigation and at the location of our first EVP.

"Is this pen from New Jersey?" :-)

I'd like to meet:

A full-bodied apparition & any member of TAPS.

Television:

Ghost Hunters, Dead Famous, A Haunting, Celebrity Paranormal Project (just because it's funny), Scariest Places on Earth, ect...,

A possible vortex found at one of our local "haunts."

My Blog

What do you see?

Both pictures in this blog were taken at the same location.  If you notice, the images were taken through a not-so-clean window, and there are many different smudges, specks, and grime to be fou...
