"Some of my best ghosts are friends." -- Hans Holzer"

"Tolerance Breeds Peace"

"You do not know who you truly are until you know from whence you may have come."

Hi! My name is Rene.

My soul is older than dirt and younger than the world.I started this site to share something with my Daughter Kerrie(click on her photo to check out her site). She is the case manager for Granite State Paranormal aka GSP!!As you can tell I'm the proud Mom of a Ghost Hunter.I have always believed in things that go bump in the night as well as a few past experiences that have fueled my belief.I'm very open to anything paranormal.Maybe if there are enough of us we can change the way we view life after death and maybe we can come up with some real truths.Any ideas or thoughts please share them on my blogs. And remember the only dumb question is one that is never asked! There are enough paranormal groups out there to get you an answer!!!As you can tell from my site I love classic rock, music from the 60's and 70's thats when music was music .You understood the words and each had a special meaning. Now I know your thinking to yourself that this isn't a paranormal site, and your right. But I hope to someday add more and more of my own experiences as well as those of my daughter. You might say she's now become the teacher and I the student!I think this is very exciting. And any site I belong to I plan on learning from as well.My goal is to help my daughter with her endeavors and hopefully join her in her search for the holy grail...There are some sites that wont let me in,I think its because I'm not a paranormal group. And that's ok because there's so many out there willing to share and teach that the few who couldn't be bothered don't matter. I like the idea of all these paranormal sites together. Its like a large family.I've been reading different sites and the knowledge is so much more than I could ever get in a school.Another good thing is the more sites you know the more you can help send people their way if ever needed.I never tire of listening to my daughter or reading others experiences. Thanks for the Hunt!

I love cemeteries. So peaceful and still.I sometimes wonder were they missed, how did they die, were they alone and does anyone come to visit. The older the Cemetery the better. Some of the poetry on the stones is beautiful and the epitaphs are interesting.

Did you know?

What is of interest to me!

The Celtic belief that spirit could inhabit a place, is found in the common feeling regarding graveyards and passage graves. These places are known to contain ghosts and spirits. Many stones are said to be Druids and others who have been changed to that state by Magick. The "sleeping king" or "warrior band" idea is another example of how the Land itself contains the spirit of people. This idea that famous warriors will awaken in the hour of need is the essence of spirit being stored within the Land itself. Foundation sacrifices were also known to have occurred where a person willingly gave their spirit to a structure or to a place, to become its guardian. This belief in the connection between spirit, person and place is still alive today in the belief that the last soul to die is the guardian of the graveyard. It is also intertwined with the Celtic belief that the soul must revisit the three sods (soils) before passing through the doorway to the Otherworld: the place of birth, the place of baptism and the "sod of death".

History of Ghosts

Historically, ghosts have often been thought to be deceased persons looking for vengeance, or imprisoned on earth for bad things they did during life. Most cultures have ghost stories in their mythologies. Many stories from the Middle Ages and the Romantic era rely on the macabre and the fantastic, and ghosts are a major theme in literature from those eras. Ghost stories date back to ancient times, and can be found in many different cultures. The Chinese philosopher, Mo Tzu(470-391 BC), is quoted as having said: "The way to find out whether anything exists or not is to depend on the testimony of the ears and eyes of the multitude. If some have heard it or some have seen it then we have to say it exists. If no one has heard it and no one has seen it then we have to say it does not exist. So, then, why not go to some village or some district and inquire? If from antiquity to the present, and since the beginning of man, there are men who have seen the bodies of ghosts and spirits and heard their voices, how can we say that they do not exist? If none have heard them and none have seen them, then how can we say they do? But those who deny the existence of the spirits say: "Many in the world have heard and seen something of ghosts and spirits. Since they vary in testimony, who are to be accepted as really having heard and seen them?" Mo Tzu said: As we are to rely on what many have jointly seen and what many have jointly heard, the case of Tu Po is to be accepted." (note: King Hsuan (827-783 BC) executed his minister, Tu Po, on false charges even after being warned that Tu Po's ghost would seek revenge. Three years later, according to historical chronicles, Tu Po's ghost shot and killed Hsuan with a bow and arrow before an assembly of feudal lords.) One of the earliest known ghost "sightings" in the west took place in Athens, Greece. Pliny the Younger (c. 63 - 113 AD) described it in a letter to Sura: Athenodoros Cananites (c. 74 BC – 7 AD), a Stoic philosopher, decided to rent a large, Athenian house, to investigate widespread rumors that it was haunted. Athenodoros staked out at the house that night, and, sure enough, a dishevelled, aged specter, bound at feet and hands with rattling chains, eventually "appeared". The spirit then beckoned for Athenodoros to follow him; Athenodoros complied, but the ghost soon vanished. The philosopher marked the spot where the old man had disappeared, and, on the next day, advised the magistrates to dig there. The man's shackled bones were reportedly uncovered when this was done. After a proper burial, the hauntings ceased.

Heroes:

Is é do mhac do mhac go bpósann sé ach is í d'iníon go bhfaighidh tú bás.

Tiny handprints grow so fast Their awkward groping soon will clasp A ball, a book, a sweetheart's hand A diploma, briefcase, wedding band.Tiny handprints grow so strong It doesn't take them very long To snap a shirt, to paint, to draw To labor hard, to drive a car.Tiny handprints grow to be A person that is quite unique A wonderful mix of so many things With his own feelings, thoughts and dreams.Tiny handprints grow to rely On his parents to bring him up just right His parents pray that when he's grown He'll say their job has been well done.Tiny handprints are ours to love The sweetest gift from God above A miracle that never is surpassed How sad they grow up way to fast.

GOT YOUR BACK

I am a small and precious child, my dad's been sent to fight. The only place I'll see his face is in my dreams at night. He will be gone too many days for my young mind to keep track. I may be sad, but I am proud. My daddy's got your back.I am a caring mother, my son has gone to war. My mind is filled with worries that I have never known before. Everyday I try to keep my thoughts from turning black. I may be scared, but I am proud. My son has got your back.I am a strong and loving wife, with a husband soon to go. There are times I'm terrified in a way most never know. I bite my lip, and force a smile as I watch my husband pack. My heart may break, but I am proud. My husband's got your back.I am a Soldier, serving proudly... standing tall. I fight for freedom, yours and mine, by answering this call. I do my job while knowing, the thanks it sometimes lacks. Say a prayer that I'll come home,

IT'S ME WHO'S GOT YOUR BACK!!!
