I have been writing for 11 years now, and I am still developing my style, the language & persona of my work.

My experiences change with time, whether it be the coming of age, love, death, new life to work, family or simply paying bills! Therefore poetry allows me to relay the diverse circumstances which become the insight to what is beneath my skin- my inner core, my soul, heart rhythms and how they beat; of which people can relate to

By sharing my past time and passages this is me putting my heart on a sleeve… so enjoy

Are you knowledgeable by grace?
Or simply by “recognition”?

Are you acknowledged by years?
Your vitae in all its accreditation
Does the product of your 9-5
Justify your reputation
Or is your payslip
Simply an the result of an affiliation
Down to the title that you hold
As well as you’re rising domination

Are you a product?
A classification
An advocate
Through pure deprivation
Striving to maintain
A reputation
In a society
Diluted through fascination
Ravenous for attention
Whilst held in captivation

Or has progression
Become your motivation
Your association
To a assiduous vocation
The reason you are recognised
To the eyes of mankind
As a supremacy
Which is the consequence of why you’re idolised?

Recognition
Is it a status or condition?

Coffee

Could I be the sugar that is missing from your coffee cup?
Warmth that lines your throat as you sip, sure to fill you up
Could I provide the texture that looks rich with extra body and depth?
Beans that have been well roasted and certainly well kept
Could I be the mixture that doesn’t need a stir?
The whole milk that gives a fuller taste
A look that creates an allure
The perfect cup of coffee you could drink till the very need
Now you must decide, do you need a lover or want a friend?

Day and night the intensity
Of each single heartbeat

Under the misty water

To malice and discontentment

Do not feel oppressed by the man
Who does not extend his hand
But instead throws a cuss
To your disgust
You are concussed
By the defamation
Of the humiliation
Along with the lack of consideration
Of not holding a discussion
Whilst he doesn’t diminish the cussing

Respect should be given
During a forum or hearing
That you state your deposition
Awaiting a decision
Of the frenzied debate
A reoccurrence of the event
Misconstrue information
Re-laying a dire situation
Seeing no end to the mayhem
Tensions frayed turned into bedlam

Nonetheless an individual requires reverence
In order to resolve and avoid severance
Simple explanations becomes resolution
Reducing annoyance and confusion
Heart rhythms restored to a quiet symphony
A restoration of spoken euphony

Thus observe this notification
That whilst dealing in personal relations
To evade a misrepresented personification
Lest haste and deliberation
Can ease a delicate situation

End result 1 less angry man!

I'm a blue moon
The dusk to your day
Or the presence
That warms your night
My reflection coincides your mood
As you surrender your day light
My ambience sets the tempo
The atmosphere
Surrounding this engagement
As we endeavour on this journey
Is this eternal or an arrangement?
You see I'm blue on the outside
Inside I'm rather dark!
Are you scared to see

For in darkness there is a light source

Floating on a pink cloud

ASHES IN MY MOUTH

Memories
Settled
Like the residue on black coffee
Just waiting to be sipped
The morning glory has gone
But I've recovered by the morning sun
Being open to the light of day
I fall prey to my weeping cocoon
Constant like a silhouette
Demised are my former days
An unspoken rapture, a discomfort
Thunder on a rainy day
I have always sailed the ship
With no direction
Overlooked were times
That brought me pleasure
I thought I was forgotten
When all I had to go

Beside Me

When you close your eyes can you feel me in the pit of your stomach?
Inside you can you feel me like your every heartbeat?
While you sleep can you smell my essence of coco and feel me breathe by the touch of my skin
In your mind can you see my smile as bright as the sunrise?
As you sweat does the heat that pulsates from your every molecule let you know that I love you?
When you wake do you see love in a perfect form?
If so… then you know you’re beside me
