Slam Unplugged is a Live Band Music Event that has been going for several years it began it September 1999, as Slam The Poetry Jam, Held at Prestige venues across London like West One Four club, Reggies Soul Café Wardour St, and The Sound @ Piccadily Circus. Due to the events Success it was rebranded as Slam Unplugged in 2004 and continued its success at East Bar. It has been a high profile event attracting A&Rs from Universal, Sony, Ministry of Sound and Other Independent Record Labels. Its most successful artists it has showcased to date to derive from the underground scene is Floetry, Estelle, and 16 year old James on X-Factor, amongst many others.
