About Me

After 21 years, legendary Aussie band GANGgajang have come of age and to celebrate they have released an epic four-hour double DVD, ‘The Complete GANGgajang’."The great thing about this DVD is that for the first time people will be able to discover the five unique, talented and very funny individuals behind the songs” says keyboardist and GANG artist, Geoffrey Stapleton who compiled ‘The Complete GANGgajang’. “My favourite part? Each clip has an accompanying anecdote from a band member that’s more like a short film. I love Cal’s bloopers intro to ‘Ordinary World’, Chris’ scarf routine in ‘Luck Of The Irish’, Buzz’s history lesson for ‘Gimme Some Lovin’, but most of all, Robbie James’ ‘Future Days’ story, where in fact he has very little idea at all about the clip in question!”The DVD features all 17 film clips, 15 anecdotes, 2 live television specials, early recording sessions, rehearsals and presentations, the seminal 1986 Quiksilver surf movie "MAD WAX", BRAZIL '95 (the hilarious 50 minute documentary of GANGgajang's first tour of Brazil...) plus rare archival footage and interviews.Very few bands have survived 21 years with the same line up. However, Mark ‘Cal’ Callaghan, Graham ‘Buzz’ Bidstrup, Chris Bailey, Geoffrey Stapleton and Robert James continue to make rock history, whether they are out on the patio, in Nomadsland or delivering their iconic brand of pop-rock to thousands of Brazilians all screaming “Gimme Some Lovin”.“What are the highlights? There are so many! The awesome surf movie, the mad tour of Brazil, the anecdotes, the interviews etc, but at the end of the day it’s the timeless songs and the wonderful clips that go with them, so beautifully reproduced here, that are the real highlights”To celebrate their 21st, the lads have also loaded up drums, keys and guitars (plus a few other instruments) for ‘The Complete GANGgajang’ tour. Yep! It’s time to get back into the Sounds of Then AND NOW as GANGgajang surfs record stores and live stages across Australia.
