THE NEW RECORD IS OFFICALLY OUT! PREACHING THE DARKNESS TO ALL
a few words from the reviews
I think what I like the most is that everything here is purposeful: there’s no extraneous “sound for sound’s sake.” The only thing these guys are cursed with is taste and restraint. ben taylor transform.com
Chicago's Sterling might take some cues form metal and hard rock, but their music is not as aggressive. Their instrumental compositions are pretty much all in the medium tempo range, with a few explosions here and there. The use of piano to complement the guitar adds melancholy to the already spooky mood. (AL)

Cursed which consists of three dark opuses conjuring up impeccable musicianship and composition while melding the genres of metal, avant garde, prog, baroque, and more.

Of all of the Milemarker side-projects and affiliations, Sterling is the most impressive. At three songs and over 35 minutes of classical guitar ambiance, the new album from this Chicago quartet couldn't be more impressive. Trip central.
