Katy McGrew

Born in a small town in Parkton, North Carolina, Katy always held the utmost conviction when promising herself that she would become something more than a small town girl with a southern accent and peachy personality. Her father served in the Special Forces and as a result, he relocated on many occasions. Traveling from the East to the West, she lived in Olympia, Washington and then again to North Carolina. It wasn't until her family moved to California that Katy could truly feel at home. She instantly, almost out of instinct, surrounded herself with those she felt were artistic and promising.She spent most of her time in recording studios or performed with artists such as The Unfadeable Crew, Hydrophonix (once opening for George Clinton and Parliament), Matthew Fewtrell (Cellar Door), Ryan Alysworth (I Got Shot In The Face), Tyler Kelly, MC BLUE, The Vangaurds, The Mannequin, Shaun Lile (Stage 6 Productions), Lonny Paul, Flash Gordon, Vulgate, and girl group BLUSH. In fact, for many years she was insistent that her birthday be spent in the recording studio. Such perserverence and adoration for her music and the music industry as a whole gave her the admiration of her friends and the positive professional additude from those who worked with her. In the summer of 2006 Katy packed her bags and headed for England. She enrolled into the Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guildford, England and is currently attending the Music Business the Degree department.Katy now co-writes and performs lead vocals for the band "Draw Me Pretty" who are currently recording their demo.
