About Me

What do you want to know?

My Interests

I'm down with pretty much anything and everything. At least once.

I'd like to meet:

Can't think of anyone.

Music:

The Pixies are probably as close to a favorite band as I've got. Random favorites... both old and new... in alphabetical order (of course). Subject to change.

Movies:

Books and music come before most movies. I do have some favorites though. The Women, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Brick, Roman Holiday, Garden State, Rope, Blue Velvet, The Untouchables, Gallipoli (yes, Gavin, from Mrs. MacKenzie), Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, Donnie Darko, Swingers, The Usual Suspects, The Shining, All About Eve, The Godfather, anything with Cary Grant (especially Charade and Philadelphia Story), and Gross Pointe Blank.

Television:

I'll watch it if it's on. I'll watch it if I'm bored. I am so easy to entertain. But I don't have many favorites.
Alias. Buffy. Firefly. Gilmore Girls. Sports Night. Twin Peaks. Veronica Mars. Wonderfalls. Maybe Pushing Daisies? If it doesn't get cancelled.
There could be more, but stupid networks have a tendency to cancel good shows before they even have time to build a following. Bastards.

Books:

No matter what I put here, I know I'm leaving something amazing off. My favorite book of all time- mostly for sentimental reasons- is Watership Down. Though a close second (for non-sentimental reasons) is Geek Love. The classics. The His Dark Materials Trilogy from Philip Pullman, Snow Crash, Starting Out in the Evening, Towing Jehovah, The Fig Eater, Carter Beats the Devil, The God of Small Things, Shadow of the Wind, House of Leaves, anything by Michael Connelly, The Chronicles of Narnia, Almost Heaven, The Alienist, Sexing the Cherry, The Eight, The Secret History, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, Georges Simenon, Blood Meridien, The Illuminatus Trilogy, Harry Potter, Troll: A Love Story, David Sedaris, Chuck Palahniuk, pretty much anything McSweeney's-related, Sonny Liston Was a Friend of Mine, Water For Elephants, Rick Moody (with the exception of The Black Veil), most anything published by NYRB, Straight Man, Philip Jose Farmer, Cruddy, Mason's Retreat, Gun With Occasional Music, For the Relief of Unbearable Urges, Tolkien, Plainsong, Jasper Fforde, The Deadly Percheron, Talk Before Sleep, Palimpsest, Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death, Jimmy Corrigan, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus (Mo Willems rocks!), Bangkok 8, Ellen Gilchrist, Memoirs of a Geisha, Stephen Greenleaf, James Ellroy, A World Lit Only by Fire, Shirley Jackson, and David Foster Wallace.

Heroes:

People who help and care for others without thinking of personal gain.
