About Me
Whats Good Peeps.Just been working my way around Myspace and hooking up wid some good people. I like to think of my self as very music orientated I listen to evertything across the scale really, I think my first love of music is be the classic soul / slowjams ,type kind of stuff that gives you goose bumps, the music you meditate too. But again some old skool bashment and asome old skool garage and a bit a rare groove, whatever i love it all... But right about now it all about FUNKY HOUSE ........I am part of the Promtion Co, Girls on Top Promotions who as a collectve we try to bring back the party vibe of old in to Funkuy House of when raving was good, I mean proper good, you know like the Sunday Roasts @ Lindfords Film Studio, Orange, Raindance Pure Silk, Sunday Skool@ Aquarium ,Adrelian Villiage, Thunder & Joy , Friday Night Tim Westwood Under the Arches, Chunnel Club, Frog & Nightgown Maximus, Gass Club, Taste FM, Twice as Nice @ Camden Palace, The ever renowned Club Collisum, Not forgotting the Roundwood Park alldayers, Hackney Downs ,Birmingham Carnival in the Park (do you remember that)Luton, Redaing, Bristol.
Like i said when raving was good fun and stress free, Don't get me wrong, when we rave we rave and we always have a good time even if we are the only ones in the rave (some messy nights) which is why in the end we started our own promtion team as we thought why can't we do this we know what we wanna listen to and how we wanna listen to it. Girls On Top Promtion was born.It started as a BBQ back in August 04 which was a huge sucess which we even suprised ourselves with the roadblock turnout everybody had a great day, and the Jerk Chicken got top marks and for weeks we were bombarded with when is the next one. Soon after that Pssst was launched @ Plan B in Brixton and a whole new vibe was created for a Sunday Night.Coming from the old skool we wanted that Funky House vibe with a touch of old skool and vocal element with party atmosphere for people who would not maybe listen to funky on a regular day, but @ Pssst it was a level that they could relate to as we could as it was for people who just wanted a nice atmosphere with good people and good music to rave too and that is exactly what it was it was a rave where you could actully rave which me as a raver is what i wanna do when i go out.I was actullay introduced to House Music on a large scale and to be honest i always liked the happy vibe that it created where people were not afraid to dance and nobody even cared if you could dance or note, I was one of those i can rave to it ( but i dunno about all night ones), I know now coz i never understood it really as there as some many different types of house music i was told back then give it a year or two everyone would be listening to House guarnteed, the crossover was happening, just like Jungle to Garage and the proof is in the pudding, I used to laugh in the early days out raving when everyone going mad for a tune and think damn he was actually playing this to me years ago this is madness, but all it was is simply House was no longer undeground it was growing and more people were jumping on the vibe and the more that jump on the vibe the bigger scene it created.
