Thompson III, aka Lyracist, was born in Chicago, IL 1979. Searching for a new way of living, his parents brought the family to Utah in the 80’s. While heavily into sports, Lyracist also showed a true talent in writing.After high school, Lyracist partook in the writing of a book of poetry and shortly after, began a career in music. While his brother sets his sights into managing and booking, Lyracist has stayed persistent through the years with writing and recording.To the current date, Lyracist has recorded several of what is considered to be “class A†material. Collaborating with some of Utah’s elite artist, Lyracist has easily performed in over 100 shows, opening for national artists and headlining several of his own.For Lyracist, it’s not just about writing, recording and entertaining.
