Influences: Oh No (demo):
i wrote this song about Mcellie Johnson. a girl who's taught me so much on who to trust, and who is truly there for you. she showed me what it's like to fall flat on you face, and to stand back up on your own. she showed me what it feels like to be truly hurt. she did all this with a simple laugh, and a simple smile. she is the best and worst thing that's ever happened to me, but i wouldn't change a single thing because she taught me to be strong. that no one cares about anyone else but themselves, so don't even bother. she taught me not to trust.
thanks dude.
Soul Mine (not by me):
i did NOT write this song. i was actually payed by a lady: Marta Jones, to put her poem into a song, and record it for her and her husbands 12th anniversary!. so if you like it, let me know and i can send it to you. she doesn't mind. this song was a ton of fun to do (: love you Marta!
8 Years Gone:
this song is about my dad. our family split up when i was around 7, that is the reason for "8 years gone." and i found out, around the age of 15, that when i was 12 he had passed away. so this song is dedicated to him. and i know he is looking down on me everyday. i know he is proud of me (: i hope you enjoy this song as much as i did when i wrote it. props to johnny for helping writing this.
Snow Patrol cover:
so i decided to do a cover of this song, because it reminds me a lot of things. one would be my dad. just some of the lyrics shoot memories across my mind. two would be my mom, she's such an inspiration, and when she said i should do this as a cover song, i decided to listen to her. not a lot of kids know this these days, but your parents can be right sometimes (: and third would be my grandparents. i'd be nowhere without them. so this one is to all of these people. my dad, my mom, my grandparents, my best friend, and anyone who has ever inspired me to push forward. thank you.
May's Pulse:
this song was written by a number of people. one would be my guitar teacher johnny london, two his wife emily (who totally inspired us with the chorus) and three: me (: together we made a electronic love song about no one specific. But some of our inspiration was definitely found johnny and emily's little girl lucy. hope you enjoy this song. (:
Table For Two:
this song is a little hard to explain. i wrote it specifically to my mom. but i changed it up so that when other people listen to it. they can relate to it, with anyone. a boyfriend, a bestfriend, a mom or dad, a dog.. anything or anyone. it's about wanting to be with that person, no matter how hard times get. it's all worth it. this song is saying.. that everything that happens. is all worth it.
Here Tonight:
this song was "dedicated" to a couple people: James Park, and Amanda Balbo. but it isn't specifically TO them. i wrote this.. when i was in a desperate need of acceptance. this song is mostly about how, if you try your hardest, and you never give up.. you never stray from that long, long road up ahead, you can get anywhere in life. never give up.
California:
now this song. was dedicated, and about, one person. Zachery Downs. i had fallen head over heals for this boyy, and of course when you fall for someone you just HAVE to go on vacation and HAVE to leave them behind. haha. so that's what happened. i left on vac. and missed him really bad. so i wrote this. my very first song, i ever wrote.
