I consider my interests to be eclectic and far reaching. I love to read just about anything but romance novels. I love to cook and do baking. I have a massive cookbook collection that encompasses 12 shelves and numerous other notebooks full of collected recipes. I've often been told I should be a chef. I enjoy collecting sports memorabilia, music CD's and various DVD's. I enjoy watching and participating in sports such as football, baseball, softball, basketball, weightlifting and bowling. I'm also a fan of professional wrestling. More of the older days than today, but there's still alot of talent in the business. A lot has changed but it's still, the business. My cousin worked in several regions back in the mid to late 80's so in busines terms I'm considered "smart". To be honest, I'm a genius. Got into it for a while myself. It was a big part of my life too, but it seems like it was so long ago. A chapter that's faded away for me, thanks to high blood pressure and diabetes. I still love it though and always will. I am a certified gearhead. I love auto racing in all of it's forms. I enjoy going to car shows and motorsports expos. I'm into street rods, pro streets, lead sleds, classic cars, muscle cars and import tuners. I love Harley's and custom choppers (the "sicker" the better.) I love tattoos and piercings. I have a few tattoos already with more to come. I enjoy studying history (with a specific focus on the Civil War through Vietnam era. I also like to participate in Civil War reenacting. I enjoy as well the study of the paranormal, the unexplained, the supernatural, parapsychology, cryptozoology and UFO phenomenon. One of my absolute favorite pastimes has been playing the electric bass. It's a smooth and soulful instrument. Whether it's a 4, 5, 6 string or fretless bass, you can get so much out of a bass just by employing different techniques in your playing. I say, the more basses you own, the better because each one has it's own individual personality. I don't have any particular allegiance to any certain brand, but I lean more towards basses from manufacturers like Fender, Dean, Yamaha, B.C Rich, ESP, Jackson, Schecter, Gibson, Rickenbacker, Ibanez, Dingwall, Warwick and Spector. I wish I could afford a Pedulla Bass, a Simmons Bass or a classic Hofner(BITCHIN'!!!) (HINT-HINT - GIFT IDEAS FOR ME FROM ALL MY BASS PLAYIN" BUDDIES!!!!!)
Wow!!! Who wouldn't I like to meet? There's countless movie and television stars, musicians and music artists, pro athletes and other countless celebrities that I would not only enjoy meeting but becoming acquainted with as well. From what I understand this is a good place to start. Basically, I am here to meet new people, make acquaintences and friends. I like to get to know people on a "real" level. I want to get to know people for who they really are, not for what they are or who they may be. I'm coming into this with no expectations or ulterior motives for anyone. I present and introduce myself for who I am and I would not expect more from others likewise. I don't see myself as a "friend collector" or anything like that. I look for people who I feel I may share some common interests with to start off, and then go from there. In this world, friends, or at least decent ones, are something that there's not enough of it seems. I was always told growing up that "a friend is the best thing you can have, and the best thing you can be". So, if you see me on your "friend request" list, feel free to add me if you wish. If you don't, that's okay too. With that said, it doesn't matter who you may be, where you're from, or from what walk of life you may be. Whether you are an Oscar winning actor/actress, general celebrity, grammy winning music artist, championship winning athlete or a working stiff like myself, here at "My Space", we all are just regular people. I'm here to share life's experiences and similarities, reasonably discuss differences and maybe drop you a line to see how you're doing once in awhile.
I can listen to and appreciate every style and genre' of music. My particular tastes lie in rock, classic rock, southern rock, metal, hair bands, golden oldies (50's and 60's),rockabilly, Psychobilly, the 80's, blues, jazz, funk, country, bluegrass and classical.
I've never been able to focus in on one particular movie as a favorite. There hasn't been many movies that I've not enjoyed time and time again.

I like to watch a lot of educational programming. The Discovery Networks, TLC (especially shows like American Chopper, American Hotrod, Overhaulin' and Miami Ink), National Geographic, the History Channels and A&E are also pretty common in my home. I also like to watch CSI (All), Law and Order (All), Court TV, The Travel Channel, Speed Channel and Food Network. With a four year old daughter, I've become very familiar with Nickelodeon Networks, Nicktoons Network, the Disney Networks, Noggin, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, PBS and all of their related characters. I'm still a kid at heart and I often watch these shows with my daughter. (It's good to share the fun and those special moments while they last.)AND THANK GOD FOR DISH NETWORK SATELLITE SERVICE!!!
I'll read anything with the written word as long as it entertains me and I can garner some knowledge and educational value from it. I've been reading alot of historical literature lately, but I also enjoy biographical novels, true crime documentaries, science fiction, horror/thrillers(especially "THE MAN"- Stephen King), books on law and medicine, languages, culture and sciences. I'm also addicted to travel guides and tourism literature. Also I read the most important book out there. No folks, it's not the Yellow Pages, it's the Bible, believe it or not. I don't profess to be perfect, as you can see I'm far from it, but it has all the answers to all of life's most difficult questions. And it's a great history book as well.(***Number of Civil War related books in my collection - nearly 300 and counting/adding soon***)
My heroes are my grandfathers. To me, they were and still are, giants among men. They migrated to this area some 70 odd years ago from the mountains of West Virginia with not much more than the clothes on their backs, but they persevered and walked through the fires of the most profound adversities and made successful lives for themselves and their families. My grandfathers came from a generation and an era that believed in hard work and dedication to your work in order to achieve any degree of success. They believed in love and dedication to family and loyalty to friends. They were strong believers in honesty in everything they did both personally and in business. They also believed in kindness and generousity, whether it was helping out a neighbor or someone they scarcely knew. They were men who led by example and principle. My grandfathers set the bar high for me in all aspects of my life. Although two of these grandfathers have passed away, their impact upon my life is still felt, even 20 years later. I'll always look up to them. If I can be a fraction of the men they were, I'll look back upon my life and say I truly accomplished something.
