Born August 22, 1982, in the parish of St Andrew, Jamaica. She is the fifth child of Lascelles and Derisa Ennis and grew up in the Patrick City community where her artistic ability has captured the hearts of many. She has been the choir director for the Youth and Combined choirs of the Boulevard Church of the Nazarene and has received the commission from the Lord to sing and to make His praise glorious. Her dedication for the Lord is indelibly etched into her motto of Acts 20:24, “ but none of these things moved me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.Kerron entered the gospel festival in 2003 with the title song, “No Wonder†written by Clifton and Margaret Clarke and was placed third in that year’s staging of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) gospel competition. She then became a well sought after alto singer. From this the musical stage of greatness was then set and Kerron has no intention of looking back.Kerron Ennis has shared the stage with many local and international artists. Among the list of international artists are Michael W. Smith, Marvia Providence, Kirk Franklin, Toby Mac, Huntley Brown among others. On the local scene, she graced the stage with the Katalys Crew, DJ Nicholas, Stitchie, Carlene Davis, Judy Mowatt, Papa San, Chevelle Franklyn just to name a few. She also performed at the Spring Break gospel festival “Fun in the Sunâ€, an annual event sponsored by Glory Music where the merging of international and local artist meet on the same stage.When the need came for the Jamaican population to ‘bawl’ out on behalf of the nation, it was Kerron who led the Perpetual Praise team in worship at the launch of the Jamaica Bawl Out 2 at the St. William Grant Park in downtown Kingston in October 2004.Presently, she has released her debut album titled God Is By Our Side. She has shared studio time with Stitchie with “God We Need†and DJ Nicholas with “Daddy Ohâ€. The songs have been getting air play on a number of radio stations in Jamaica and has been No 1 for six months on LOVE FM chart.
