BIOGRAPHY
Mang studied musical theater at the University Of Arts in Berlin and there received a scholarship for gifted students. He graduated in 1998. Before he began his studies, he played Berger in the Glasgow production of Hair. Mang was seen as Sosias in Amphitryon directed by Martin Woelfer. Under the direction of Angelika Domröse he brought the role of Jeppe in "Jeppe vom Berge" to life. He acted in "Oedipus" at the Hebbel Theater, was a soloist at the Theater of The West in "Make Love Not War", played Watty in the German Premiere of "Lady Be Good", and at the Bad Hersfeld Festival led by Intendant Volker Lechtenbrink he played Eddie in "Rocky Horror Show", which was directed by Peter Heinrich. Mang worked extensively for Stella Productions as a soloist in their Broadway Music Galas. He worked with Director Steve Ray as Charles in "Freak Out". He toured as a Soloist with "Welcome 2000" and as Claude in "Hair" throughout Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, and Switzerland. As Judas in the Bad Gandersheim Festivals’ production of Jesus Christ Superstar, he brought audiences to their feet. In Berlin, he charmed everyone in the title role from "Hedwig and The Angry Inch". He was Judas in the Chemnitz Opera House and has also played Simon. Lysander from Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream was a favorite role of his to play. He was seen in Germany’s premiere of Aida covering Radames, Zoser and Pharao. Mang was seen in the German (Cologne) premier cast of the highly successful Queen musical "We Will Rock You" as Bob, and cover Khashoggi and Dieter. Lead singer Mischa Mang and his band Ivanhoe released their 2005 Metal Album "Walk In Mindfields" to rave reviews by the international press. In May 2006 Mischa performed the role of Berger in Leipzig Opera’s production of “Hair”. Directly after Mischa was seen performing Judas in the Jagsthausen Mountain Festival’s production of “Jesus Christ Superstar”. On the side Mischa sings with We Rock! a band composed of the pit musicians from We Will Rock You Cologne. In May 2006 Mischa released his German Solo CD PROVOCATIO. From December 2006 - July 2007 Mischa appeared in the premier cast of We Will Rock You - Zurich, Switzerland, as Gölä, Understudy Khashoggi and Polo.
