For 22 years now, DREAMSCAPE has been fighting through the progressive metallic musical landscape.
The idea of DREAMSCAPE is to create music, which apparently isn't meant for everyone, but despite this the music remains the driving force for DREAMSCAPE.
A sound, that serves the songs, is played brilliantly and in an ever-convincing manner.
Why then has DREAMSCAPE remained relatively unknown, unable to reach more hearts of the progressive scene?
Was it because the band members didn't totally engage themselves in the music, but instead sought success in their jobs?
Was it because the band didn't take the time to tour?
Or was it because it always took four years to release a new album?
Or is it even because the band's name, appears to be a curse, due to the huge competitor from the US?
That may be, but Wolfgang Kerinnis, the band founder and leader ended that phase!
With Kerinnis' own record label, and two big European tours (2007 Sieges Even, 2008 Symphony X) DREAMSCAPE was put into new action. All compromises and self-doubt were thrown over board and fellow musicians were found who are equally interested in seeking success in music. The faithful fans are already awaiting the new album, and the other prog enthusiasts will be excited by the new songs.Surprisingly versatile and sonorous as never before, the new album emerged from a collaboration with Spike Streefkerk (Melissa Etheridge, Phil Collins, Def Leppard…) and will initiate a landslide! Or so the band believes...
