About Me

i am anti-chaos - i was on the rave scene in the late 80s and early 90s in the uk and in ireland while an english lit student a dropout a sound engineering student and afterwards and used to work in bars restaurants venues and clubs in soho and camden in london and for a few summers in the village in new york - I wrote some film screen plays while working for the london office of the hollywood agency william morris back in 97 and 98 - my scripts attracted some attention from that agency, their rival icm, metrodome (rupert preston, the then md), robert jones (former head of the uk film council and still I think of jones co), and the recorded picture company, but remain really at the development stage - in other words after a lot of calls these people either read my work and made some positive comments, gave me actors to work with, offered me work, had meetings with me or asked to look at new material but didnt give me a deal - tanya cohen at william morris even said i had talent (amongst other things) and rpc's hercules bellville who was creative executive on sexy beast said if i was reading for william morris i must be bright (he also said my main film would cost an enormous amount of money!) - lucky me hey - i co-ran a kung fu film hip hop club, the shaolin film club, with ben slotover and a sicilian guy called guiseppe longo, made a couple of short experimental films, worked on films at all stages, studied creative management and went into business sales and was fairly successful - but have been back in university and at bar school studying law for a few years - i promoted some new bands at london university early 2007 and went on to promote in the Autumn and Winter of that year, but lost a significant amount of money and am not promoting at the moment - ive always writtten poetry but most of it is discarded and ive mc-ed a bit with my mate in a hired mercedes driving around the m25 very fast - im probably going to study some more tax and/or entertainment law next year and set up a tax and legal consultancy for international artists. i may or may not promote again and I did try and manage a couple of bands last year, including one officially - pokerfaced - for a whole month until we drove each other mad - so of course if I found a young band akin to the happy mondays crossed with klaxons and crystal castles lurking around in an alley somewhere id probably nab them - but alas we talk of dreams in this current climate and in any case some one with more weight would probably get there first..

Album Review _ TMOT Bang Bang Boom Cake

Its a very strong original and adventurous album. It does really push its limits, with a mix of simple but sometimes quite deranged lyrics, solid and sustained drum beats, wails, screeches and shouts,...
