About Me

My name is Ruth Barrera and I am a Graphic Designer / Crafter. I work as a graphics artist by day but can't wait to get home and start crafting and creating. Crafting has become a passion for me and a way to relieve some stress from everything else. My dream is to someday own a gift shop with handmade goodies created by me and also sell imported art from Latin America (specifically Guatemala and Ecuador). I am very proud of being born to a Guatemalan mother and Ecuadorian father. I do consider myself half maya and half inca. Much of my artistic inspiration comes from the beautiful art and colors of these two cultures. My Mayan Colors is a tribute to both these cultures, but mostly to the Mayan culture which is the one I identify with the most. I hope you will enjoy seeing my one of a kind creations both here on this page and on my Etsy store. If you want to learn more about me, you can also check out my other profile page. http://www.myspace.com/ruthylunaI edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 ..Above are some pictures of some sold and new items.
