About Me

I have just finished my BLA and am now taking some additional pre-med classes. I'm starting to get ambitious and am seriously thinking about seeing just how far I can get towards earning my MD. I work as a RN and generally enjoy it quite a bit. People are always fascinating and helping others helps store good karma for those times when one is really really bad. I have a pretty wide variety of interests and hobbies and usually keep myself pretty busy. Areas of interests are History, particularly Medieval women and ancient civilizations, Folklore and Mythology, Literature, Celtic and Gender Studies. I'm a member of the SCA and enjoy dorking out with other history and fantasy enthusiasts.

My Interests

RPGs, reading, painting, and a mild corset addiction

I'd like to meet:

Firefly fans, interesting people, other RPG dorks, history buffs, SCA members of Calontir, happy Pagans, maybe even a few other Bisexuals in the KC area

Music:

I'll try just about anything at least twice and that goes for music as well. just about anything goes, my tastes are pretty diverse. live music is always best.

Movies:

Pan's Labyrinth is a beautiful work of art. 300 is a gory work of art. Nightwatch and Daywatch are amazing films and Hot Fuzz is just hilarious.

Television:

*still* currently obsessing about The old episodes of Firefly and I love CSI. I also am enthralled by the new show Pushing Daisies. The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is still a favorite (That is one adorable Scotsman).

Books:

My favorites are Les Miserable (Victor Hugo) and Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman.

Heroes:

people who defied the conventions of their times to do amazing things.

I'm so excited, I submitted my application to be a student volunteer for an archeological project this summer studying Medieval Irish Lordship from about 1100-1600s. It's called the Medieval Rural Set...
