The band KONG KLANG was founded 1993, in Bergen, Norway, by Lasse Myrvold
(ex-member of the bands The Aller Värste! ( TAV! ), Göbbels a-go-go, The Willkoks Talk and The Beste). The band released “KONG KLANG†in 1999. Members on this CD was Lasse Myrvold, Calle Hamre, Björn Ivar Tysse and Rodrigo Lopez.Under the name “KONG KLANG audio-visionâ€, Lasse Myrvold & Calle Hamre together with Kristian Stangebye (Göbbels a-go-go, Willkoks Talk) made the film score to the cinema-documentaries: “Junkies†(1997) and “Velkommen Hjem†(2002). At the same time KONG KLANG continued playing concerts as a duo with Myrvold and Hamre. In 2002, a new formation of the band did arise. Myrvold and Stangebye started a collaboration with the poet Terje Dragseth. This trio released “Logg†in 2002, and “Kvitekraakas Song. Dikt og Songar, eit gorrlaust makkverk†in 2005.In 2006 KONG KLANG has done concerts as a trio with Terje Dragseth, Kristian Stangebye and Terje Paulsen. After Lasse Myrvold got incurable prostatitis-cancer, he stopped doing concerts and chose to concentrate on recording “Göbbels A-Go-Go 13†together with Kristian Stangebye. This record is scheduled for release in 2007.Lasse Myrvold died September 3. 2006.Just weeks before he died, Lasse Myrvold recorded “Du og Jeg I Samme Baat†(You and I In The Same Boat) together with Calle Hamre, as KONG KLANG. This song can be heard on “Dans Til Musikken†(2006), which is a tribute CD to Lasse Myrvold. It seems that in 2007, KONG KLANG , again, will take a new direction. And that is what KONG KLANG is all about; “you never know what’s around the next corner…â€Stangebye/Paulsen and terje paulsen
