Heavy Ethics - jazz/improv/rock/love

About Me

Our New CD Rhubarb is here!
Heavy - adj. Having relatively great weight
Ethics - n. The science of human duty
What does this have to do with our music? I don't know, but didn't it enrich your lives to know what each individual word in our band name means? Our hope is that one day, you can pass along this knowledge to your progeny in much the same way that myths and legends were passed in days of yore.
It is our hope that our current song reportoire be passed on as well, further enhancing the rich heritage that awaits our future children.

Regarding above: Lol, nice try, but thats my story and I'm sticking to it :)

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: heavyethics.com
Band Members: Rommel Reyes is over 1000 years old and plays piano.

Chris Norman is under 1000 years old and plays bass.

James Scott ... uh ... no idea how old he is but he plays drums.

And all three of us write music in order to punish musical sense into each other. It's called the "tough love" approach to music theory and harmony. One day, it will be the norm in the pedagogy of conservatories everywhere and we, Heavy Ethics, will be the pioneer.
Influences: Too many to mention so we'll go with genres on this one: 20th century classical, the avant-garde, 60's jazz, 70's rock, dissonant funk and booze ... lots and lots of booze - I'm kidding, we're very ethical :)
Sounds Like: John Coltrane meets Yes meets Sly and the Family Stone meets Igor Stravinsky in one crazy musical orgy that ended up producing some weird looking kid.
Record Label: To Go-ing Way
Type of Label: None
