eRica DaVis Music

Erica is a Singer, Songwriter and Actress, born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has a vocal style that blends R& B, Jazz and Gospel. Inspired by both parents who sing, her desire to perform began at an early age, and by the age of three she began training in voice and dance. At the age of seven, Davis performed her first duet, with renowned Christian artist, Sandi Patty. While in high school, Erica excelled and was recognized for her achievement in performing arts. She was recommended by an instructor to pursue a potential scholarship, but after graduating high school she decided to pursue a career in music. Her introduction to the music industry came in the 90’s, when she joined EMI’s gospel group, Lamar Campbell & Spirit of Praise. Shortly after, she began shuttling between Indiana, where she lived, and Los Angeles and Atlanta, where her producer's lived, singing with various female groups, one of which included R&B singer, KeKe Wyatt. After marrying former IU football player, Chris, she relocated to Dallas where she gained further experience and played leading and supporting roles in several stage plays. In 2003, she teamed up with producer, Montrell Darrett to be featured on a Daddy Jim Records compilation album. Shortly after, she began singing background for Kirk Franklin, and cameod in Franklin’s “Looking for you” video, playing the role of a fed up prostitute. Erica is currently touring nationally and internationally with Kirk Franklin's 'Hero' tour, while working towards a professional career as an actress and record label owner.
