A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Minister Deidre “Dee Dee†Gray is an anointed and humble servant in which God placed His gift of faith and a love for worshipping Him through song. She is a “music minister who happens to be an aspiring gospel recording artist†that was exposed to music all of her life through her mother’s awesome love for gospel music and her father’s days as a musician and quartet singer. Minister Gray sang You Should Be a Witness as her first church choir solo at the tender age of 11 at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church (the late Rev. L.E. Wilson) in Fort Wayne, Indiana and has been singing for the Lord ever since.A gifted psalmist, worship leader, soloist/vocalist and teacher, Minister Gray has been blessed to share her anointing throughout the Midwest and Southern regions. She has appeared as a guest lead on recording projects and ministered with many nationally renown ministers of God’s Word and Worship.Minister Gray is a member of Eastern Star Church (ESC) in Indianapolis, Indiana where Pastor Jeffrey A. Johnson, Sr. is the Senior Pastor. She has a love and a heart for children and families in need and answers God’s call in this area as a volunteer for the ESC High School/Middle School Ministry and JEWEL Human Services, a nonprofit affiliate of Eastern Star Church that assists families to meet their basic needs, including housing, food, clothing and skill attainment.Minister Gray has received “ministry cross-training†in the forefront and behind the scenes throughout her years of service in other areas such as the Multicultural Ministry, Women of the Word, ESC Music Ministry and each of the three church plants of ESC-New Life Worship Center (Pastor John Ramsey), New Beginnings Fellowship Church (Dr. James Anthony Jackson) and the New Horizons Church (Pastor Eric Wiggins). She has completed training through the ESC Biblical Leadership Summit (2005), Potential Leadership class (2007), Ministers-In-Training Program (2007) and the JEWEL Bible Institute as well.In an effort to be “gifted and skilled†in her calling, Minister Gray participates in national and local music conferences for technical training, networking, mentoring and spiritual renewal. As an avid reader and, of course, music lover, she also keeps her library of books and music current with worship and personal growth materials by well known and respected authors and artists. Minister Gray can always be found encouraging and supporting her fellow Levites in their ministry efforts in the church, community and throughout the kingdom.Minister Gray is the Godly proud mother of one son, Deontre D. Gray (“Treâ€). He is a positive motivating force in her life. As her “biggest fanâ€, he is a great complement and support of his mother’s calling! Minister Gray is a graduate of Ball State University (Muncie, IN) where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Religious Studies with a minor in Counseling Psychology.
