Renaut Van Oeyen ~ RIP Yann my friend !!

Hi everybody !

I'm an autodidact musician and i've started playing music at the age of 18, influenced by bands like Guns'n Roses, Nirvana and Metallica...

Then, I evolved by listening to bands such as Dream Theater, Evergrey, Symphony X, Stratovarius, and some technical and melodic metal.

I have played in bands like Spirittales (Heavy Metal) , Virtual (Progressive Metal), and recorded several demo albums with those ones.

Since many years my passion is to compose in different musical styles.

I've composed 2 songs for Ulrikamus , a female singer with an incredible voice. These songs are demos versions, which explains the mixture of real sounds and midi sounds.

VIRUS IV is a Metal band combining melodic and power riffs, each song of the band has a pure atmosphere, a kind of journey trough the metal genres. It's heavy, rock, thrashy, Nu or sometimes progressive.

Virus IV was founded by guitarist Samuel Arkan (Spirittales, Nemesis, Over Us Eden...) in August 2005 with, after many years of musical collaboration, Magali Luyten (singer also in Beautiful Sin) on vocals. Back from a previous and common band (Spirittales), Renaut Van Oeyen (Vhan) seemed to be the perfect guy to take the bass place.

The band has composed a set list of strong songs during the beginning of 2006 with artificial drums and recorded a 10 songs demo (only private use). For now, Virus IV is working on songs with the new member, drummer François Brisk.
