Don't let the Kansas part fool you.
The Kansas International Film Festival is dedicated to bringing premier independent, art-house, avant garde, and documentary films from around the world to Kansas City every September.
We're not your typical film festival. Not just a venue for exhibiting film, every year KIFF welcomes filmmakers from around the world to speak and interact with filmgoers. There are no boundaries here. Conversation between film fans and filmmakers is a staple of any KIFF event and everyone is welcome.
KIFF also exists to show folks that Kansans aren’t a bunch of yahoos. Intelligent and unafraid of thumbing our nose at less evolved people who make a lot of intolerant noise in our fair state, the Kansas International Film Festival shows socially and culturally diverse films – as well as entertaining flicks – in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
