About Me

Filmmaker Mialyn Hanna was born in Hanover, Germany, Hanna studied Roman languages and Dramatic Arts at Georg-August University Gottingen, Germany, and the University Complutense de Madrid in Spain. She worked as a camera assistant for the television station, Television Espanola and had acting roles in Menos Lobos, a television series in Spain. She moved to the Los Angeles area in 1997 and worked as an assistant on the films Time Share and Coming Home. In 1999 she wrote and directed My Woman, a short film that premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and screened at the 13th Wine Country Film Festival. White Shadows marks her first feature-length documentary film.
