[email protected]It all started back in about 1995-6 when a mate brought round a tape pack called Hocus Pocus, which was when it was called 'House & Garage'. The pack included now legendary DJ's of the UK Garage Scene, Karl Tuff Nuff Brown, Mike Ruff Cutt Lloyd, Jason Kaye. I still have this pack to this day, and i will never lose it, as this is where it all began for me.
I got my first break, and this was when i realised that i had the talent to make it in DJ'ing, when i went to a small night in High Wycombe to see the legend DJ EZ. The night was being run by RnB DJ Paul E Paul, who i had met a few times before, and discussed possibly playing for him at future events, i only went for a few drinks, when Paul asked me to jump on the decks for 30 mins while he chilled out! I thought he was joking, but no he wasn't! I had to use his small collection of UK Garage Vinyl and away i went. I loved every minute of that half hour, and i thank him for that small break he gave me!
And now to more recently... I knew that playing on the FM dial was the way to go, and i found Londons Leading Freeze 92.7FM (www.freezefm.co.uk), which i pestered for near on 12 months, before getting the chance to show case my talent. Im now playing on what is London's biggest underground station, which has won 3 awards.
Thats about it, not much more to say. You can catch me on Londons Freeze 92.7FM each and Every Sat 10pm-12am playing the finest Nu Skool UK Garage, with a different MC each week.
