The South Coast Connection Tony fizzle and Gfunkstar formed the South Coast Connection in late 2004, They met when Tony was working in Eddie Craigs ( Wideboys) record shop VIP Vinyl. Having both played at the same garage nights at various venues around the Southcoast it wasn’t long before they started working in the studio together. In 2005 SOuth Coast Connection developed their uplifting, 2step and 4x4 sound, incorparating organs, vocals, and plenty of rhodes which draws from early influences like the Wideboys, Bump and Flex, MJ Cole and Sunship which has now progressed onto writing orginal vocal tracks with artist such as Rusty and MC JLC. 2006 saw the South Coast Connections tunes getting supported by djs such as EZ, Wideboys ,Charma, Control-S, Robbie T, Scott Tonic to name but a few on stations such as KISS 100, BBC 1Xtra, Freeze FM, Shine FM, Sub Jam and Deja Vu. With the release of CONCRETE SKY on MIND THE GAP 6 late in the year ( available at www.garagejams.co.uk ) coupled with the winning the JME TROPICAL REMIX COMPETITION (forthcoming on JME's Tropical label) the connection finished the year with a BANG!!!!!!The South Coast Connection are signed label artists to the WIDEBOYS GARAGE JAMS label (www.garagejams.co.uk) and MRP recordings (www.mrprecordings.com) Look out for The South Coast Connections first release on MRP (Vybsed up and Walking Away) featuring the vocal talents of RUSTY.SCC have appeared on pirate stations subjam, deja vu, basscutz and freeze fm. Tony and G started out both as djs and and have continued to playout regulary at uk shakedown Mud Club as well as garage promotions in London, Bournemouth, Brighton, Portsmouth, Worthing and Wales. With plenty more feel-good tracks to come and dj bookings aplenty South Coast Connection are looking bright for the future.
