I am here for Friends

About Me

This page is dedicated to Many Tears Animal Rescue. They have made lots of new friends since joining 'My Space' but would still like to make yet more. The best way to get more help and support is by greater awareness of the rescue so, please visit the page, read the blogs, meet some of the dogs currently in rescue and needing kind, loving homes. Show your support by adding them to your friends list or add a kind comment. Spread the word and invite your friends to visit and if you think you might be able to do more to help such as rehoming or fostering any of the dogs you see on this page or perhaps making a donation (cash or goodies!) or you feel you can help in some other way (see blog for some of the many ways you can help), visit Manytears
Here is where you can find out more about the dogs you see on this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue is a small family run rescue based in South Wales run by Sylvia Van Atta and her husband Bill. They have many dogs that are waiting to find love. They take in mainly ex-breeding dogs , but also help with some of the death row dogs from various pounds. To find out more about Many Tears, to show your support or about rescuing one of their dogs, please visitManytears
Their primary aim is to take in and rehome unwanted or uneeded breeding dogs. They wish to provide a special; loving environment to help them adapt and find permanent homes of their own.
With the help of animal lovers they groom and care for their very special orphans, teaching them to love and trust them as much as they do them. They try to work completely for the benefit of their charges.
Sylvia says, 'My tears still flow each day and I know they always will. I have been told" the soul can have no rainbows, less the eyes have shed some tears" I am still waiting for some rainbows'.
About me:
Find me on MySpace and be my friend! Myspace Backgrounds
Poem about Doggie Rescue
Current mood: sympathetic
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked up in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.
Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?

My Interests

TAMBA 11-09-07 This is Tamba he is about 6 months old. We are doing a video of him for you to be as appalled as we are. This pup can barely stand - he crawls on his belly or simply gets up only to collapse after a little while. I suspect he has no formed hips and will need extensive surgery. We will get him x-rayed tomorrow and then get a quote to fix this fellow. We will then probably have to ask for everyone's help. We will do a blog up date-------------------------------------------------------- ---- PLEASE DON'T FORGET OUR CATS We have several cats and kittens looking for homes. Some are being fostered outside of Wales so if you can offer a cat a home please take a moment to look at our Cats Looking for Homes page. ******************************Visit Manytears
for more information on all the fantastic cats and dogs looking for foster, or even better, forever homes.
-----------------------------------------------------------D O YOU RECYCLE?DO YOU RECYCLE? We have 10 ex racing greyhounds who were bred for the racing industry which has now rejected them, but they would make wonderful pets. We have various colours and differing temprements, ranging in age from 21 months to 11 years. The pro's - they are undemanding, generally lazy, are happy with 2 X 20 minute walks a day and are commonly known as 40 mile an hour couch potatoes. After a life of tedium lived in kennels they love people, attention and are used to being handled. The con's - like many dogs they may chase cats. Their speed means that they might well catch them. If you would consider homing or fostering a greyhound please call Angie on 01554 773136 or email [email protected] no hard sell, I promise.Written by Angie, a Many Tears volunteer.-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -------The Dogs
Please remember, many of these dogs are here because they have been rescued from certain death at the pound (YES - it does happen in this country - everyday) -others are ex breeding bitches now no longer needed by the breeder for whatever reason and therefore not viable to keep. They are all lucky to have ended up at Many Tears but they need to be luckier still, the rescue needs desperately to home these in order to make room for others so that they don't die either, just because it is considered 'nobody wants them'. This just isn't true. All the dogs at Many Tears are loved dearly but this isn't enough. They all deserve loving, comfortable homes and we know there is somebody out there for everyone of them. They just have not met each other yet. Don't risk the chance of someone missing the chance of meeting the best friend they may ever have. Post pictures, tell your friends. SPREAD THE WORD! Working together can really make a difference.
FOSTER HOMES WANTED We are desperate for new foster homes. If you are an approved fosterers that would be great but if not we would still like to hear from you. We can transport dogs along the M4 from Wales to Wiltshire but wherever you live, if you are prepared to foster, please call Tracey 0117 3079345 or Kevin 01249 650997 between 10am and 5pm.
