Hi my name is Jay, and seeing that we are now on a first name basis I might as well tell you a little about me. When I was young I used to go around telling people that I could play the guitar( which was actually allot easier than learning how to play). This worked perfectly until one day I met a some one who really knew how to play. While over his house he asked me to play a few bars of a song he had tabbed out. When I failed to be able to play the piece he ridiculed me in the way that children do. I left determined to become a musician (or at least just better than my friend).
Although proving my friend wrong was my initial goal fairly quickly I developed a love for music and a pension toward writing songs. Since then I have worked with many tremendous musicians but have never found the perfect situation for myself. I Started Sunrise Drive as a vehicle to create that opportunity.
Though Sunrise Drive is still in its infancy I have big aspirations for this project. In the coming months I will be playing allot of open mics and small area shows in order to get things going so be sure to check in for dates near you!-Jay..
