Born in downtown Chicago to a family of poor sharecroppers, Michael Blue hopped a freight train down to Mississippi at an early age to make some real money picking cotton. When polyester replaced cotton as the fabric of choice, he spent his savings on a cello and started playing the blues on a street corner in Ita Bena, MS. The rest is history.
