What is in short supply are DJS with the ability to program music and arrange sets with a distinctive edge. Chad Lewis technical ability and experience on working a crowd are second to none. His unique taste in music really comes through, fused with an earthy blend of beats and rhythms, along side sounds that are reminiscent of the past, more refined days, peak time house at its best!This year he made his debut appearance at legendary superclub Gatecrasher, Sheffield, as well as many other big club nights around the UK, the night went off with a huge bang and chad has already been asked to return, with forthcoming shows at Cream, Heaven, Minimar, Purrfect Electro, miss moneypennys, Hatclub, De funkt, Immaculate Touch as well as finding time to promote his club in birmingham, 2007 is set to be a busy one.PRESSChad has been tipped for the top by DJ mag top 100, featured in IDJ secret weapons, reviewed in M8 and is also currently finishing off his mix for a covermount CD on midlands favourite 69 MAGAZING and is due out in may, there will also be guest mixes on Ministry of Sound Radio, Galaxy and London FM over the next few weeks, and on top of all this Chad has already featured on over a dozen front page interviews for mainstream internet sites such as, Dont Stay in, Gurn, 4clubbers, In your face.....Chad Lewis and in-house engineer Funkagenda have put together a series of blistering productions and remixes and are about to release the labels 13th release on groovedigital Adrian Eftimie ( No side effects )Groovedigital started back in 2005 which saw the label host party's across the UK with their 'Groove Party' tours as well as securing the debut release from Radio 1's the 'Trophy Twins' with "Dutty Rhythm". The track went on to become a firm favourite with some of the worlds top DJ's, which culminated with a 'Pete Tong' play live on Radio 1's Essential Mix, live from Space Terrace Ibiza. Groovedigital Has firmly establishing itself as the fastest growing record label in the industry and 2007 / 8 looks set to get even better.HistoryChad..s first residency came at the tender age of 16 playing at the Tin Tin..s Club giving him the ideal opportunity to play along side some of the industries biggest names before breaking through. It was also at this time when Chad..s talents went unnoticed and was taken under the wing of the legend Tony De Vit. Chad..s drive and passion saw him take on residency at the infamous Subway City in 1997 where he soon became the clubs headline resident. In 1999 Chad had been promoting for Subway City and was offered residency at Eden Ibiza and organising parties all over the white island and getting bookings from Mambo, Es Parasdis and Café del Mar. whilst doing this he was jetting off back to the UK playing at Naughty but Nice, Progress, Hotdog Sundissential and Club Class.
In 2000 Birmingham..s Club DV8 spotted Chad..s potential and head hunted him and offered him the position of main resident playing four nights a week and a grueling four hour set each time. The hard work soon paid off as a struggling club soon became a recognised name amongst the clubbing fraternity of Midlands and to this day is still reaching maximum capacity every night.
It was from this major platform that Chad started liaising with some of the major players on the circuit and brainstormed some of the most talked about nights of the midlands such as Sunday service. 2005 Gave way to the birth of the UK..s fastest growing record labels ..GrooveDigital...
Chad can also boast that for three consecutive years (2003 .. 2006) he has won the ..Best Midlands Club DJ nominated by the readers of ..Midlands Zone...
This has been a great year for both Chad and especially ..Groovedigital.. signing tracks to some of the biggest names in the industry such as Hed Kandi, Ministry of Sound, Judgement Euphoria, Slip and Slide and most recently Space Compilation mixed by Jonathan Ulisys.
The label is on its 12th release which comes from Funkagneda and is titled Good to me and includes a chad lewis, Kim Fai Remix this is currently enjoying huge Radio support.
On the back of all this success Chad is now touring under the banner of ..Move to the Groove... The tour encapsulates what ..Groovedigital.. stands for and that..s bringing quality house music to the worlds dance floors. Chad and his fellow artist..s have enjoyed touring around the UK, Europe, Asia and the US. With gigs being booked three (3) - four (4) times a month for the past year.
With an ever expand CV and Discography with loads more projects to be release for all different labels this summer, it will surly be only a matter of time before this creative and professional individual becomes another one of the Midlands house music legends!
Just added!Due to heavy work commitments throughout the day and to spend more time concentrating on the brand and club Chad will be cutting back on his dj schedule throughout 2008, doing less gigs but making sure the ones he does commit to go off with a bang, this will make it a lot more exclusive for the venues and cities involved.Thanks to everyone who has and is supporting us.
