In the later period of the victorian gold rushes, a small band of australian and chinese miners, exceptional for their close and successful partnership, stumbled across an unexpected find. In a broken down stone hut uncovered by new diggings, they discovered a small jade bottle in the shape of a buddha. Nearby was a sroll that one of the miners read to his friends; "THE PATH TO HEAVEN FLOWS WITH LIQUID GOLD; AND LUCK IS THE INHERITANCE OF THE CHOSEN FEW." The discovery of this treasure was kept a secret, at least until recent times. The miners and there decendantsremained friends, and through time all prospered. They were considered a group of lucky men, and as individuals each seemed blessed. In friendship and business, the members of this fellowship had outstanding success even in the face of great adversity. It was as if a golden thread from heaven had attached each to his lucky star. If hope ever waned, one had only to visit the magic bottle to feel renewed. The fortunate find lead to the understanding that the buddha figure bestowed luck on many villages and towns throughout the world. Adventures and great heroics had been performed in it's honour, and from these stories modern legends have been born. In tales from ancient china the jade buddha and the legacy from the liquid gold have been famous for centuries, and in australia new legends are being discovered. Today the wise descendants of those lucky miners have decided to share thier wealth and good fortune for the benifit of mankind. Join them in thier great adventure.
