About Me

VGLNT Zine is a Leicester based independent publication focused on, but not limited to, punk, hardcore, ska, and punk-folk music, particularly in Leicester and the Midlands. I (Andy) started the zine to provide an outlet for ideas within the local scene which perhaps can't be articulated well through traditional means (ie. writing a song). Anyone can contribute, and pretty much all ideas will be considered. Accounts of shows, record/book/comics reviews, profiles of notable figures within the wider scene and so-called 'punk' history, and information on how to put the shared ethics of the sub-culture into practise, will also be included. Alongside that there will be editorials/rants from pretty much whoever wants to stick one in.
