Right here go's. HOOFBITE was formed in 2004 with Tim on Vocals and Guitar, John on Drums and Craig on Bass.
We played a good amount of gig's mainly around the Derby/Nottingham area. We stayed a three piece for one year before deciding to get a second guitarist. In 2005 we recruited George.
We started to branch out playing gig's wherever we could.
In 2006 we recorded our first E P titled " Do it again...... but faster ". This was very well recieved getting some good reviews from local fanzines and our fans. In the year and a half since we recorded " Do it again..... but faster " we have sold over four hundred copies on our own, and still selling.
Shortly after our E P came out Craig suddenly left the band, this came as a big supprise to us as we had a good amount of gig's coming up.
We didn't have time to replace him so we drafted in two of our good friends Paul ( Stricko ) and Ed to stand in. They were both guitarists but took up the challenge of learning bass for us. They did an awesome job and learnt our set in two days.
In early 2007 we advertised for a bass player and recruited Josh.
We were really impressed with his playing style and his commitment to the band and music in general. We became very busy in 2007 playing around four to five gig's a month all over the country.
In late 2007 George decided to leave the band, it was just the right time, there were no hard feelings and we are all good friends. We played as a three piece for around five months before looking for a new guitarist, and guess what? We found one. Kev joined the band in June 2008 and it sounds awesome.
So here we are in 2008, we have just recorded our second E P titled " Envy the dead " six tracks of full on Hardcore Punk Rock.
So whats next for HOOFBITE?
WORLD DOMMINATION thats what, and no we won't stop until we get it.........
