This used to say simply 'getting lost' which is true, but I think it deserves to be fully explained... Not *being* lost which implies stagnation. It's the full process of getting there and then getting out - having learned or experienced or discovered or been consumed by something new. You can get lost in an idea, a sunset, a song, a person, a moment... you name it. And I'm a sucker for that beautiful journey.
I also really like pajamas.
People who get me.
All over the map! Though I always enjoy a good film score, Brazilian jazz, sensual rhythm, compelling aural texture, intelligent lyrics, and anyone who can write a proper bassoon part [I'm looking at you, Mr. Stravinsky]
As long as there's no popcorn involved. *bleah*
Current programming? Heroes, several Adult Swim offerings (on the rare occasion I turn on the tv). In general? Twin Peaks, X-Files, Buffy, Batman: The Animated Series, Clone Wars
I like stories and authors that take me somewhere [Neil Gaiman, JK Rowling], remind me of where I came from [Barbara Kingsolver, Rudolfo Anaya] or inspire me [Laurie Cabot, Laura Day]. Oh - and comics, which fall into all the above categories [Artesia, Witchblade, Catwoman, Tarot, 3 Kittens, Kabuki, Fathom, Tomb Raider, Tank Girl and anything by Ted Naifeh]
Chicks that kick ass (see above) and people with the courage and drive to realize a dream (see friends).
There's not a category for fur-children, so they're going here:
