When Johnson Amadeus Starlight was a small child, he knew he was destined for greatness. From the first time his parents heard him sing along with his Sha-na-na album, it was readily apparent that he had been chosen by a higher power. His calling would be to bathe throngs of overdressed promgoers with a voice that can only be described as adequately glorious.
He quickly surrounded himself with the greatest musicians in the world within a 6 mile radius, and began performing as Johnny Starlight and The Cacopho-tones.
In the summer of '05 during the Belgian leg of their Eurpoean tour, an unnamed member of the Cacopho-tones fell slave to the green fairie, and was left behind. One man was there to lift him up, check him into rehab, and return him to his former glory behind the keys. Were it not for the selfless kindness of the man known only as El Conquistador, Belgium would have claimed one of the greatest musicians ever to walk the face of Dunellen. As a token of gratitude, El Conquistador was offered a spot in the lineup, they were renamed The Careless Whispers, and the rest is history.
