I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Hippies can be hustlers too: I think the more information we gather and store in our brains, the further from truth we stray. I think when our brains are brand new, when we're just born, they have access to the universal truth of nature that connects us all. As we are progressively conditioned by our different environments, we begin to create the imaginary borders and boundaries that separate creatures, cultures, races, sexes, and individuals: beginning with the word I. We spend such great deals of time focusing on what we can touch and see; we leave ourselves no study-time in a day for the fantastic lessons taught through clearing our minds of the chatter of our different languages. Only with an empty mind can we perceive, study, and learn the truth. The truth was the same yesterday, is the same now, and will be the same tomorrow. The truth will always prevail. That is my faith. I do not agree with organized religions and believe they may be the foundation of the notoriously ignorant ways many humans have been living on this earth so far. Ignorance is humans' disease, communication is the cure. To me, the word god represents the force that unites all living things in a realm not affected by the restrictions of time and space. A spirit realm where we communicate with energy, much like animals do in the wild. I try to begin each day (or holdem game) with the mind of a child. On a morning with no preconceptions, expectations, or fears, the sun is much brighter and the colours of the flowers are a lot sharper. My senses of hearing, smelling, feeling, and seeing work best when my conscience is clear and my mind is empty. Rather than studying who you are, you should study who we are. It is in our connections to one another, our understandings of one another, that we will find truth. As Salman Rushdie so wisely noted in his delicious love story, The Ground Beneath Her Feet, "in order to see the whole picture, one must step out of the frame." ************************************************************ ************************************************************ ********************************************I have just started a campaign called Free The Chickens. I want to ban all animals from being subjected to a life of torture in factory farms. Please buy organic and/or free range meat and dairy products. If you choose not to, at least do you homework on the alternative. Your money is your voice. Whatever you spend money on, you support. I believe I am special because of my compassion and humanity. I refuse to give strength and power with my money to organizations that commit atrocious, inhumane actions against the animals and nature that I am a part of and who make me the person I love today and look forward to waking up as tomorrow."We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but for the appalling silence of the good people." -Martin Luther King Jr."And what I've learned is that character and compassion are more important than ideology, and that even if its absurd to think you can change things, its even more absurd to think that its foolish and unimportant to try." -Peter C. My Interests

Blue eyeshadow. I am very interested in the word "tentative". damn that is a smart and smooth sounding word. Also "certainly," especially when it is used with "most". Ive often enjoyed spelling especially with an X, just for kicks. I'm interested in changing the world. Maybe i'll just move some rocks around. I love chocolate cheesecake. I am interested in dancing, singing, and playing music; basically, i am a hippie who can dig death metal AND hip hop. I want to sing but so far i sound mostly like a pack of fighting racoons outside the window. I sing in the safety of my own home so no one mistakes me as a threat, perhaps a rabid dog in heat. I reluctantly play guitar, only because i never had a violin, which is my dream instrument and makes my skin tingle when i hear it played. I think id be a good drummer, had i been granted the opportunity to touch a drum set more than twice in my life. I like any competitive sports or hobbies... Holdem Poker, lasertag, darts, pool, tennis, basketball, foosball. At the end of the day, all I really want to do is dance to Vivrant Thang by Q-tip, Breathe by blue cantrell, and Watch out Now by Beatnuts.

I'd like to meet:

Sluts and strangers, but only if they're really strange."n. pl. rev·o·lu·tion·ar·ies: A militant in the struggle for revolution. A supporter of revolutionary principles."People who's care for me and opinion of me would not be affected if i were to suffer third degree burns to my entire face :)bisexual midgets who want to make porn, east indian cab-drivers who like to talk about their homeland, humans with extremely large craniums, bad-ass gangsters who wear patchouli, hippies who just cant get enough of Easy E, lawyers who do extacy on the beach, old people who constantly swear, Wesley Snipes.

Music:

I want to hear music that has a reason, a message, and a purpose. Music that is telling a story: a true story. Music that expresses genuine thoughts, feelings, emotions. Music that has fought to be in existence and cannot be silenced. Music that is ageless; that never began and will never end. ie: This is the song that never ends...I find samples of the sincerity i need from music in artists like: Sinead O connor, Jedi Mind Tricks, Eminem, Jack Johnson, Elliot Smith, K'naan, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Credence Clearwater, Pennywise, Weakerthans, Johnny Cash. tons more. No specific genres.

Movies:

Id totally date Napolean Dynamite. I liked Lord of the Rings OH so much! Since im a hopelessly-stupid romantic, i adored Moulin Rouge, The Notebook, and even fuckin' Pretty Woman. I love Ninja Scroll, Scarface, The Lover, Equilibrium, American Psycho, I *heart* Huckabees, Baraka, Donnie Darko, Amelie, Requiem for a Dream, The Professional, Crouching Tiger, Surrey Sluts, Memoirs of a Geisha, Debbie Does Dallas, Hero...

Television:

Everybody hates chris (its funny because everyone loves chris and everyone hates raymond) Seinfeld, Southpark, Conan O brian (grew on me once i discovered he is completely insane) Spongebob square pants, powerpuff girls, The Passionate Eye (CBC), Sex and the City, Emeril, Naked Chef.. I dont actually get the channels that show many of these shows, but i watch them when i got to peoples houses sometimes....

Books:

Anything on texas holdem. Currently Phil Gordon's Little Blue Book. The Ground Beneath Her Feet and Haroun In the Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie. The Mists of Avalon, Marion Zimmer Bradley. The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz. She's Come Undone, Wally Lamb. In Search of the Miraculous, P.D. Ouspensky. The Joy of Cooking, Hustler, uh, i mean Cosmo..., The Tigers Revenge, Claude Ballsac. A Bedwetters Guide, Russ T. Bedsprings. A Saxton from Packsworth, Paxton Bakster.(some of these books might be "really hard" to find....)

Heroes:

Micheal Henderson. Sylvia Fantasia, Eloise Charet, Alisa Shebib, David Shebib, Victoria Louise Duffy, Jedi Mind Tricks, Peter Young: animal rights activist, Hilary Swank (hands down, greatest actress), Amy Lee of Evanesence, Will Farrell, Ali G, Cheif Joseph of the Nez Perces, Bruce Lee, Rodney Mullen, Mitch Hedberg, Chris Rock, Uma Therman, Dave Chappelle, Ani Difranco, Sinead O'conner, Harriet Schlieffer (animal rights activist/ writer), Martin Luther King Jr, Oprah, John Lennon, Al Gore, Artemis, Ralph Miller (my buddhist psychology 11 teacher), The scottish Janitor from the Simpsons, Elaine from Seinfeld, truth seekers, followers of common sense...I think Jesus, or the concept of humans that are like him, is probably my biggest hero. ps, im a devout atheist.Barbie, with a rope around her neck hanging from the bunk beds, with all her hair cut off and her plastic face burnt from the explosion. This is when her she had to be herself, had to shine her true colours, had to be brave without the protection of hair, clothes, and makeup. This was the moment, she bravely rocked back and forth suspended in the air, that Barbie finally became noteworthy.
