The things that pass for knowledge, I can't understand.

About Me

I'm a graphic designer, and a native of Nashville. Obscure, obsessive, passionate, and paranoid, I'm giving up on doing it that other way to find my own way. Like the Verve says: I'm a million different people from one day to the next.

My Interests

movies, music, home improvement, travel, coffee, wine, good times with good friends, and things that make me laugh. Including stupid jokes like this one:

A man walks into a bar with a piece of asphalt under his arm and says, I'll have one for myself and one for the road.

Which Community Hero Team do you belong to?
Welcome to Team BONO!
Look at you, person with impeccable musical taste! As a member of Team BONO, you are a passionate follower of the man with more artistic genius in one steel toed boot, than most have in their entire wardrobe of footwear. As a member of Team BONO, you have a houseful of (RED) products, wear your ONE wristband with pride, and strive to sing those high notes just like your inspiration. It's a mystery to us how he manages to hit that A above Middle C. We suspect cattle prods are involved.

Quizzes and Personality Tests

I'd like to meet:

Most of the people I want to meet are dead, and I miss them. The live ones include Ray Bradbury, Weird Al, Patton Oswalt, and almost any songwriter whose work has inspired me with clever or thought-provoking lyrics. SUCH AS... the Finn Brothers (Crowded House), Barenaked Ladies, John Mayer.
Or who make me laugh... like Nathan Fillion.

Stand with the Burmese Protesters

www.completehero.com/burma.html

NOW I need to meet Nathan Fillion and PJ Haarsma! Fans of my work, just like I'm a fan of theirs. =)

Music:

Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Barenaked Ladies, Weird Al, Loverboy, Rush, Max Webster/Kim Mitchell, Patton James and the Synchromatics, Dead Can Dance, The Police, Bodeans, Los Straitjackets, Bela Fleck, Big Country/The Raphaels/The Skids, Glen Miller, The Smiths, The Cure, Tool, The Clash, and Paolo Nutini. My favorite Beatle was George.
My fantasy band, like fantasy football, would have Stewart Copeland on drums, me on bass (yeah, right!), Jimmy Page or Gary Moore on guitar, Kim Mitchell as front man/singer and guitar, Nick Rhodes ..boards and effects (the man is a god). If I can't play bass, we'll get Getty Lee or Sting... cept for I don't know if Sting could ONLY play bass...

Movies:

Hudson Hawk, Serenity, Casablanca, Poolhall Junkies, The Emperor's New Groove, Overboard, Witness, V for Vendetta, anything with Paul Newman or Clint Eastwood or Katherine Hepburn or Christopher Walken.

Television:

DRIVE. It's all I was watching on television. I haven't watched much television in the past 10 years. But my favorite Friend is Chandler. Shows I have loved: A&E's Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett as Holmes, Will & Grace, Airwolf, Martin, Wings, Cheers, Coupling, Absolutely Fabulous. Also, even though I didn't see it when it was originally on TV, I LOVE Firefly. =).

This is about all the "television" I can handle! Can't wait!

Books:

The Thorn Birds, Colleen McCullough; anything by Tom Robbins or Christopher Moore; Martha Grimes' Richard Jury series. Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Joyce Carol Oates.

Heroes:

Anyone who lives life the way they want to without apology and without hurting people and Beth Damn Donahue. And MICHELLE THOMAS! Damn, woman, get you an assistant or something! You can pay them with CAKE.
