Holly later used the name again with a different lineup that had three number one UK singles in succesion including RELAX that was famously banned by the BBC ...after releasing the multi million selling and UK number one album album Welcome To The Pleasuredome he toured the world with this band until 1987 after the release of their second album LIVERPOOL the making of which had been marred by clashes and musical differences throughout . A successful European tour later Holly left the group in April 1987.Later after a landmark court case freeing him from an unfair recording agreement with the ZTT label: he went solo and had a number one UK album BLAST on MCA Records which included Hit singles LOVE TRAIN , AMERICANOS and ATOMIC CITY. MCA later released REMIX ALBUM HOLLELUJAH! and after Holly was no longer with the label the " Dreams That Money Can't Buy" album appeared in a limited pressing to fulfill their contract .....in 1991 Holly was diagnosed as HIV Positive and had several years of ill health, but continued to be creative writing a critically aclaimed autobiography A BONE IN MY FLUTE , recording and producing "Legendary Children" cd single and Love And Hate CD single with Ryuichi Sakamoto (1994) He also exhibited his visual artworks in the form of paintings and collages with solo art shows 1996 The House Of Holly(London), 2002 The House Of Hanover (Liverpool Biennial Independant). He released the album SOULSTREAM on his own PLEASUREDOME label in 1999 which including singles Disco Heaven and a new orchestral recording version of the classic song The Power Of Love. The FGTH classics were remixed again in 2000 and became chart and club hits all over again. In the 21st Century Holly decided to spend more time developing his visual artwork. Sir Peter Blake invited to contribute a painting for the Royal Academy Of Art Summer Show 2001 (Cosmos Marine) where he has exhibited Silk Screen and Lithographic prints each year since (up until 2006). In 2004 he showed at AUSGANG group show in London and had a solo painting and print show The House of Hanover at the 2004 Liverpool Art Bienial He recently had paintings on show at Salford Museum and Art Gallery in the FELLOW TRAVELLERS Exhibition curated by James Lawler. Holly has also written and illustrated for Details, Carlos, Modern Painters, The New Statesman , The Telegraph and The Guardian. Holly hopes to make more Music and Art in the future and therefore can't always reply to your messages of support on this page. Cha Cha Cha.

Influences: Growing up I loved the escapism of MGM Musicals on TV, Then of course Pop music, While my father played country and Western my elder brother and sister played The Beatles and Motown, The first Long Player I was given was ELECTRIC WARRIOR ! and then came Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars; The main musical influences of my teenage years were Marc Bolan and T. REX , David Bowie, Roxy Music, Brian Eno, Andy Warhol and The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, and all bands from Talking Heads to The Human League who played at ERIC's nightclub in Liverpool........ Nightclubbing by Grace Jones and the days listening to Joan Armatrading and Rickie Lee Jones and everything inbetween .The David Bailey documentary on Andy Warhol had such an impact on me as I child POP was more than just music, it was a visual world of Day Glo Glamour and transfabulouseness, fashion and film. Art , Music and the written word can transform a rainy day into something spectacular.
