I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships and Friends

About Me

I’m just a down-home guy trying to hang on for the ride. I’m usually quiet and shy until I get to know you. At first, I respond better to direct questions than an open forum and I tend to ramble. Once I get to know someone, I’m more open and energetic. I’m a quiet guy. I like going out and having a good time, but I also enjoy sitting at home watching TV or reading.I’ve been told I’m good looking (thanks grandma) and can be charming (thanks again grandma), but I don’t notice it. My friends tell me I’m funny, but they’re usually drunk out of their minds and they think belching the national anthem is hilarious. My humor is simple: I aim to entertain myself, if you get caught in the crossfire, well hope you enjoy the ride!I’m big on being outside. Not the running, jumping and climbing trees kind of outside. But, I enjoy sitting down by the river checking out the boats. I’m not a hunter. I have no ideological nature-is-wonderful-and-shouldn’t-be-destroyed reason to NOT hunt. I have no qualms with shooting Bambi. I just agree with a man that once said: “It’s too early, too cold outside and I just don’t want to go.”
Your Dominant Intelligence is Spatial Intelligence
You've got a good sense of space and how the world around you looks. You can close your eyes and "see" images. You have innate artistic talent. An eye for color and shapes, you're also a natural designer. Since you think in pictures, visual aids and demonstrations help you learn best. You would make a good navigator, sculptor, visual artist, inventor, architect, interior designer, or engineer. What Kind of Intelligence Do You Have?
How You Live Your Life
You are honest and direct. You tell it like it is.
You're laid back and chill, but sometimes you care too much about what others think.

My Interests

"Civilization crumbles when it’s citizens need it most."

I'd like to meet:

Remember the great philosphy of life that everyone should follow: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"I'm not here for hookups or one-nighters. I'm mostly here just to meet some cool people that can actually hold a conversation. I like all kinds of people. Old, young, tall, short, gay, straight ... hey whatever. I can talk to anyone and hang out with all kinds of people. Being mature is always a plus. I find it odd that some people start out extremely mature and in less than a few weeks evolve into eight year old children! You should strive to be yourself. My momma Lorrie told me once that "there's nobody more interesting than the real you." I think she meant it as a word of wisdom ... either that or she was just calling me strange? Either way, I like people that are comfortable in their own skin. You shouldn't try to impress people with how cool or interesting you are. If you allow them to see the real you, they'll be impressed all on their own.

Movies:

When it comes to movies, I'm a sci-fi/horror person. I’m big on sci-fi. It’s not just a dork thing, I just enjoy the idea of what COULD be coming in the future, it’s inspiration on film. But, I also love a good horror movie. But don't fall for that tag line "scariest movie of the year" because you'll be disappointed every time. Trust me on this one, only thing good about that Wax movie was Chad Murray!

Television:

Anything STAR TREK! I'm a trek-nut! I'm a big Family Guy, Futurama & American Dad fan. I'm a news junkie, I'm always veggin' out on CNN or Headline News. I’m not a reality show viewer. I get enough reality at my job. I watch TV to get away from reality for an hour, not to watch some jackass that thinks he can sing or someone that will eat worms for cash or makes a fool of himself trying to romance complete strangers. blahhhh ... give me Star Trek anytime!Ruperts' Funeral

Books:

CLIVE CUSSLER! ... HUGE fan of Cussler's work. I'm an avid reader. My mother told me once that reading helps expand your mind, create brain cells and repair damaged brain cells. And heaven knows I've done enough damage to my brain since I discovered blunts! I'm an eclectic reader. I read everything ... mystery, suspense, horror, sci-fi, adventure and history novels. A few of my other favorite authors are Peter Benchley, Steve Alten, Anne Rice, Christopher Rice, Michael Jan Friedman and Michael Crichton.

Heroes:

"Now the trumpet summons us again — not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are — but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation" — a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself." --- John F. Kennedy - Inaugural Address, Friday, January 20, 1961"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" - Abraham Lincoln
