First a few Facts about Stef: Date of Birth: 31/03/1974 Place of Birth: Göteborg Instruments he can play: Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano
Short Biographie:
Stefan Olsdal went to the same private School as Brian Molko (the American International School of Luxembourg) but they didn't get friends there. Stef started making Musik in 1987 when he learned to play the drums for the school orchestra. But he wasn't very happy always sitting in the background, so he started to learn playing Bass and Piano. His first Bass was a Fender Precision and he bought it because of Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) had the same. But Stef soon created is very own style of playing bass (which we all love, I think ;) ). He finished High School in Sweden, moved to London with his parents and attended the Musicians Institute. One day in London he met Brian at the South Kensington Tube Station - what a luck - and they decided to have a band called Ashtray Heart which later turned to Placebo.

Most people know Stefan as a Member of Placebo, but he also has his own Music Project called "Hotel Persona".
